GABRIEL FURMAN (Writer/Director) an award, winning actor, writer, and filmmaker is humbled to make his directorial debut with CLAUD_IA. Gabriel, a proud lifetime member of the Actors Studio, wrote, produced, and starred opposite Academy Award winner, Melissa Leo, in the award winning short Mother’s Day. The film let to notable credits include: “And Just Like That” (Netflix); “Law & Order: SVU” (NBC); “Orange is the New Black”.

Gabriel also wrote, produced, and starred in the short film, Wonder, about a young boy who dreams of being Wonder Woman for Halloween. The short, an instant hit, won 21 awards, including UrbanWorld’s Audience Award for “Best Short Film” and Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival’s Jury Award for “Best Short Film”, which qualified the film for Academy Award consideration. Wonder was licensed by HBO to all of HBO’s streaming platforms.

Gabriel co-wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed play, Brother’s Keeper, at the Actors Studio, and, has finished developing the feature film version of the play with Bobby Moresco and Ellen Burstyn, who is attached in a major role. JAMAL SOLOMON (Cinematographer) being from Brooklyn has left an indelible mark on Jamal’s cinematography. He has been working in the industry for 11 years, across the States and internationally, on short films, feature-length movies, television, commercials, documentaries, and artistic branded videos.  

 

Selected works in the narrative space include “Flowers” (HBO Short Film, American Black Film Festival), “Angelfish” (TIFF Next Wave Film Festival), and “As of Yet” (Tribeca Film Festival).  Jamal’s TV credits include Marvel’s MPower on Disney Plus & TV One’s UNCENSORED. He is a recipient of the Zeiss Precision Image Award. For Jamal, these momentous achievements cemented the belief that improvement is vital and should be utilized in strengthening every frame.

As a creative, he seeks to find beauty in visceral environments and how the two can juxtapose and complement each other. To him, these remain to be his North Stars behind the lens.

KRISTIN ZAHRA (VFX) is a filmmaker, Animator, VFX Artist with 15+ years of 3D generalist experience.  Since graduating from Vancouver Film School in 2005, she has been creating content for for projection mapping, holographic and immersive experiences throughout the world. Notable clients have included  Avicii, Disney, Super Bowl XLV, Xbox, Phillips and HP.  

 

Filmmaking has always been Kristin's first love, which she considers her “sacred work” anytime Kristin has a camera in her hands. From experimenting with 16mm motion picture film to trying out any vintage camera she can get a hold of, Kristin loves hand-processing film and blending the worlds of analog and digital.

PETER JEDRUSKI (VFX) was born in Poland, lived in Morocco for a bit before moving to the United States in '81. After working as a Graphics Specialist in the print industry for 26 years he left to pursue his true passion of 3D and Visual Effects. Since switching careers, Peter has worked on many challenging and interesting projects varying from film VFX to industrial 3D rendering.

 

For Peter, constantly learning new skills and overcoming challenges to help filmmakers and storytellers bring their vision to life is ultimately fulfilling.

KATHLEEN SIMMONDS (Producer / Anna) is an Actress, filmmaker (and reformed lawyer) whose expertise has been instrumental in many high profile projects as a Line Producer and in Casting for documentaries and docu-series on HBO Max, Discovery+, History Channel, Netflix, Amazon, Sundance AMC and CNN, including "Reversing Roe" (Netflix) which was nominated for 2 Emmy Awards, ”Little Richard: I Am Everything" (CNN/ Magnolia) which premiered at Sundance, and “It Couldn't Happen Here" now in its third season on AMC. She also produced and starred in the multi-award winning Web Series "Woe Is She" (GoIndieTV, ROKU).  

 

A proud lifetime member of The Actors Studio, Kathleen shares her love for film and acting as a moderator, panelist and jury member at the Chelsea Film Festival and NYC WebFest.

JOANNA LU (Co-Producer) born & raised in Peekskill, NY, in her early childhood adventures, she answered a background casting call on the local radio, a Troma Production, The Toxic Avenger and was instantly mesmerized into this otherworldly experience. Years later, The Toxic Avenger II returns to town, but this time she's invited to be on set, to ask questions, study the behind the scenes cast and crew, leaving an indelible mark on her psyche. Her continued desire to be part of the film and television industry became more apparent as she moved into her new neighborhood in Chinatown, New York City. Joanna has developed a myriad of invaluable experience in the industry over the course of her 25 + yrs career including "Law & Order SVU", "The Blacklist", "The Trial of the Chicago 7", and "The Morning Show".

JEFF TAN (Co-Producer) is a highly experienced Director who is well known in the Reality Docu-soap genre.  With his love for finding the deeper meaning in all stories combined with on-set experience of over 24 years, Jeff plans to bring his ability to collaborate and bring synergy to all departments behind the scenes.  He loves set coffee.

PAOLO MONICO (Co-Producer) born and raised in Italy, for the past 20 years Paolo has been running an enduring and successful career in directing commercials and music videos. He now drects, writes and produces short films and content through his NY-based production company, Pogo Piggybackers. Paolo Is best known for his clarity of vision, his abilty in creating a collaborative environment on set and his excellent and complete knowledge of the post-production process. His ultimate goal as a director Is to work with actors on character-driven material, and bring layered, conflicted and somehow flawed characters to life. As a DGA member, Paolo was selected as a protégé In the prestigious DGA Television Mentorship Program and his Mentor Is veteran TV director Bethany Rooney. www.pogopiggybackers.com

NAIYA ORTIZ (Claudia) is an actress, known for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Grand Army,  Monsterland, and New Amsterdam. She is also a singer, having trained at Moving Mountains Theater Company. She was a Volunteer for 2 years at NYC Animal Care Center, and has attained a Certificate for Business of Entertainment from Columbia Business School.

SCOTT McCORD (Stanley) is a NYC based actor known for his versatility in over three decades in theatre, film, television, music, radio and animation. He is a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio. Scott can be seen in  the sci-fi horror series FROM (MGM+) as the mysterious Victor, now in it’s third season. He is a recurring guest on THE SINNER (USA/NETFLIX) and a lead in EAST OF MIDDLE WEST (2023). Other film/television credits include - FBI, Jupiter’s Legacy, The Deuce, Lost Girl, Shoot ‘Em Up, 16 Blocks. An award-winning voice-actor, he is best known for his roles as Owen and Trent in the TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND, Dan Kuso in BAKUGAN BATTLE BRAWLERS, and Jake in PAW PATROL. Recent theatre credits include The Private Theatre’s ROCCO CHELSEA ADRIANA, CAPTURE BOUND ESCAPE the Collective Theatre NY, and THE HEAD HUNTER, for which he received two NYC independent theatre award nominations and one win.

As a musician and songwriter, he has released two albums - BLUES FOR SUNSHINE (2009) and SCOTT MCCORD AND THE BONAFIDE TRUTH (2012)2024 will see the production of THE FINAL REEL, co-created and performed with Parallel Exit, a New York, Drama Desk nominated physical theatre company. He is co-producing and starring in the short film JULIETTE AT 2PM (2023) and is co-writing and developing WE MIGHT FALL APART, an original play about a band of aging musicians reuniting in their hometown after one of their original members passes away. He became a Lifetime Member of the Actors Studio in 2018.

ABIGAIL HOSFORD (Jenny) is a New York based actor and artist. She started officially training in acting at the age of 13 with the likes of Developing Artists and the Barrow Group. Abigail has been drawn to larger than life examinations and portrayals of everyday life experiences in the media she produces and consumes since she can remember. This continues to be a through line in all her art, be it in her painting, writing, or the experimental music videos and short films she directs.
